The Carpenters Tribute on Saturday

The Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo. They were the worlds biggest selling group of the 1970's.

Although only mainly active for that single decade, by the time of Karen's death in 1983 aged just 32, ten of their singles become million-sellers and by the millenium over 100 million albums had been sold.

"Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft", is  the recognised anthem of World Contact Day which happens in March each year, where the song is constantly broadcast by satellites into outer space.

Join us for The Carpenters in Concert. This event is sponsored by DX Exchange.

Party in the Park starts at 12pm SL (8pm UK) and features songs from the era and The Carpenters in Concert begins an hour later at 1pm SL.
